U of M heads to the playoffs and the Lions win (for now)

Fat Guy Corner

The Michigan Wolverines finished the season 13-0 and are college football playoff bound. The Michigan Wolverines took care of business in the Big Ten Championship game defeating the Purdue Boilermakers 43-22. The Fat Guy took the trip to Indianapolis to watch the victory, and I enjoyed every minute of the experience. I believe my future daughter-in-law enjoyed it too. I […]

The turkey and the football were tasty last weekend

Fat Guy Corner

The Thanksgiving Day turkey was as tasty as last week’s college football games. Heck, I’ll even toss in the Lions Thanksgiving Day game as being exciting and tasty as they didn’t get the stuffing beat out of them. The fact that they have won two straight road games is drop-the-phone news. I thought the Lions played an absolute complete football game Sunday against the New York […]

The college basketball season has officially started and features some top programs playing each other. (How could you not love watching Michigan State and Gonzaga the other night? I will get […]

College football heats up and the Astros win the World Series

Fat Guy Corner

The college football rankings went up in flames really quick! The No. 1 Tennessee Volunteers lost to Georgia in a game totally dominated by the “Dawgs” defense. If anyone thought the Tennessee football team was actually the No. 1 team in the country they don’t know much about college football. The Tennessee defense is horrible and one win over Alabama […]
