Hamburger night

GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP — The public is welcome to attend hamburger night held from 5-10 p.m. every Friday at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 822, G-5065 S. Saginaw St. Hamburgers will be sold for $3, hot dogs for $2, BLTs for $3, grilled cheese for $2 and cheeseburgers for $3.50. Attendees can add fries or onion rings for $1. Proceeds benefit the VFW post. Karaoke is also offered from 7:30 pm.-12 a.m. Details: Call 810-742-1995. — T.T.

Brain exercise class

BURTON — A free brain exercise class is offered from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Thursdays. The class’ approach has left participants wanting more and they have asked to have a continuing class. Everyone is welcome. It’s fun and gets your brain working. Preregistration is not required. — T.T.

Microwave cooking class

BURTON — A free microwave cooking class will be held at the Burton Senior Activity Center at 10 a.m. July 26. Participants will learn to make easy, healthy recipes in the microwave oven. Bubbleman

BURTON — The Baker Park Library will present Bubbleman on July 7 at 11 a.m. at G3410 S Grand Traverse. Ron Lloyd has enchanted patrons for years with his bubble magic, creating volcano bubbles, tornado bubbles, kaleidoscope bubbles, square bubbles and much more. GDL Board Meeting

Book sales

BURTON — The Friends of Burton Memorial Library present their book sale at 12-6 p.m. July 26 and from 9 a.m.- 3p.m. July 28. The public is welcome to go out to support the Burton Memorial Library and buy a bag of great reads for next to nothing. — T.T.
