Tigers split volleyball tri with LakeVille, Bentley

Photo by Brandon Pope BURTON — Bendle’s volleyball team hosted LakeVille and Bentley in a tri-meet last Wednesday, with Bendle falling to LakeVille, 25-15, 25-12, and defeating Bentley, 25-23, 25-15, 25-19.

Against LakeVille, Lillian Plamondon had a pair of kills and four digs. Faith Lynn had two kills and two aces. Maliah Spencer had 11 digs and one ace. Savannah Hammit had two kills. Heather Ward and Morgan Willard had two assists each.

Plamondon then had nine kills, three digs and an assist against Bentley. Lynn added four kills and two aces. Spencer chipped in 14 digs and two aces. Morgan Gilkes had nine digs and an ace. Ward had six assists, two aces and a kill. Willard had four assists and three digs and Hammit racked up five kills.

Bendle is at the Mt. Morris invite on Saturday. – K.R.

BENTLEY: The Bulldogs took on Lakeville and Bendle in a tri-match last Wednesday at Bendle. Bentley lost to Lakeville in the first match; no score was reported. Addison LeTourneau hit 8/10 with 13 digs and three kills. Morgan Ludwig served 5/6 with an ace and set 26/27 with eight assists.

Bendle defeated Bentley in the first game 25-23, but the Bulldogs would bounce back with a 25-15 victory, forcing a decisive game. The final game was controlled by Bendle, as they won 25-19. Letourneau hit 22/27 with nine kills. Destiny McKee was 25/28 with five kills. Taylor Crane finished 32/36 setting the ball with 12 assists. Kilee Leonard also contributed with a perfect match of hitting 8/8 and serving 18/18. Leonard finished with one kill.

Bentley squared off against Lakeville again on Tuesday, losing all three games and the match 10-25, 17-25, 14-25. LeTourneau had six kills, McKee also contributed four kills. Ludwig chipped in with four assists.

The Bulldogs take on Durand, Genesee and Byron in a tri today. — J.O.
