GOLF OUTINGS

Golf Outings is provided by View Newspaper Group to give area service clubs, charitable organizations, non-profits, sports booster clubs and other civic and community organizations an opportunity to publicize their golf outings. If your group or club is hosting a golf outing to raise funds for a charitable or community cause, email your outing information to: avandaele@mihomepaper.com. SATURDAY, MAY 6

The Lapeer Area Elks Lodge Annual “Early Bird” 4-person scramble golf outing will be held May 6 at ROLLING HILLS GOLF CLUB. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry fee of $55 per person includes golf, cart, prizes and a hotdog at the turn. Putting contest, chipping contest, men’s and women’s longest drive, men’s and women’s closest to the pin and Vegas hole. Lunch and draft beer at the Elks Lodge follows golf. Deadline to register is May 2. The Lapeer High School Football Golf Outing will be held May 6 at LAPEER COUNTRY CLUB. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $100 per person or $400 per team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and skins. Prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin for men and women. No current students please. Please confirm your spot by April 28. First 36 paid-in-full teams. The Lapeer Optimist Club’s 42nd Annual Douglas Henley Memorial Golf Outing will be held at 9 a.m. May 13 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Entry fee of $400 per team. Contact Mike Butterfield at 810-245- 5790.

SATURDAY, MAY 13

The Grand Blanc Volleyball Golf Outing will be held May 13 at THE JEWEL OF GRAND BLANC. Shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $80 per player or $320 per team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and dinner. Longest drive for men and women and closest to the pin contests. Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton will host their 12th annual golf outing at FENTON FARMS GOLF CLUB on May 20. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. with a 1p.m. shotgun start. Entry fee of $90 includes greens fees, lunch and dinner. Closest to the pin and longest drive contests. Proceeds go towards helping with medical costs of the animals.
