GDL, Flint Handmade to host Book Lover’s Craft Fair

FLINT — The Genesee District Library and Flint Handmade will host the 2nd Annual Book Lovers’ Craft Fair at the Grand Blanc-McFarlen Library on Nov. 14 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

“Shoppers will be delighted to find a dozen local artisans with an assortment of modern handmade goods,” said Crystal Pepperdine, Executive Director of Flint Handmade. “This fair is especially unique because all crafters will have a selection of book-themed goods, such as notebooks made from vintage board games, magnets and coasters featuring literary quotes, comic book collage canvases and much more.”

Many crafters will also offer Michiganthemed work, including “Mitten” ceramic ornaments and holiday cards, which Pepperdine says are very popular and likely to sell out. The majority of items are $10- $20 with a variety of price points ranging from $1 to $75.

“The Genesee District Library is excited to partner with Flint Handmade for the 2nd Annual Book Lovers’ Craft Fair,” said Eileen Button, Community Relations Manager for GDL.

Last year, 450 shoppers attended the fair, and 600 are expected this year.

Admission is free. The Grand Blanc- McFarlen Library is located at 515 Perry Road in Grand Blanc.
