BURTON — Spreading around the joy of Christmas bargain shopping, Goodwill of Mid-Michigan has reopened its seasonal store - A Very Goodwill Christmas - in Genesee County this year.

It opened Friday, August 14, at the Courtland Center Mall right outside the JCPenney entrance. Use mall entrance E for closest access.

Billed as an all-Christmas store, it follows on the success of the first store that debuted last year in Lapeer.

The plan is to move the store’s location around each year, according to information posted on its Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ pages/Goodwill-Industries-of-Mid- Michigan/159273433363

The Courtland store has added a twist this year by also including Back to School Clothing. The regular Goodwill retail store at 2188 S. Center Road in Burton also remains open.

Merchandise at the Christmas store is affordably priced and includes a full array of merchandise from stockings to hang by the chimney with care to fullsized plastic Santas, Christmas village houses, string lights, pre-lit Christmas trees and tabletop decor.

Same as other Goodwill retail stores, the Christmas store also will be selling tickets to the Michigan Renaissance Festival at this location. As a grand opening special, it also is having a drawing to win Renaissance Festival Tickets.

Goodwill operates 17 regular retail stores throughout mid-Michigan including the Flint Township location at 4340A Miller Rd.
