McLaren Helps Back Pain Patients get “BACK to LIFE”

FLINT — McLaren’s Therapy and Sports Medicine Program is offering “Back to Life” a free educational and exercise program for patients who suffer with back pain beginning May 20. Participants will learn practical ways to improve daily function when dealing with back pain. The program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week for a total of five weeks. Participants can join at any time but registration is required. Tuesday sessions will be educational and Thursday sessions will be for supervised exercise. Upon completion of the rotation, participants will be eligible for a free one month Wellness Membership at one of McLaren’s four outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine clinics. Genesys offers weight loss program for all levels

GRAND BLANC TWP. — Genesys Athletic Club (GAC) in Grand Blanc Township offers FUSE 90, a 12-week health and exercise program customized to meet the needs of every participant. FUSE 90 Level 1 is exclusively for women who don’t where to start with their health and fitness, or have not exercised in a while and want to get back on track. This group receives specialized exercise classes, coaching sessions, weekly health and nutrition education, individual goal setting and nutritional guidance. FUSE 90 Level 2 is for men and women - from beginners to those who describe themselves as intermediate on the health and fitness scale. They will receive weekly group personal training sessions, health and nutrition classes, individual goal setting and nutritional guidance, along with three group coaching sessions. FUSE 90 Level 3 is for men and women who work out at an advanced level and want personal training and some additional health and nutrition information. Classes start the week of May 12. Kidney cancer support group to meet

FLINT — The Kidney Cancer Educational Support Group of Michigan will meet May 21, 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, 302 Kensington, Flint.
