Optimists new fundraiser BURTON — The Davison Optimist Club has teamed up with Bubba O’Malley in Burton to present the 2011 Pond Hockey Tournament on Dec. 30. Four-on-four round robin, no contact, no goalie, multiple sheets of ice, divisions by age and skill, ladies teams welcome, a beer tent with a DJ. Registration forms are available at Bubba’s. There will be six person teams, $250 per team includes hockey jerseys. — G.G. Davison Athletic Club to hold New Year's teen event DAVISON TWP. — The Davison Athletic Club, 2140 Fairway Drive, will host a 2011 New Year's Eve Teen Bash, from 9 a.m.-5 a.m. for ages 10-16. Tickets before Dec. 31 are two for $20 for members or two for $30 for non-members. At the door members are $15 a piece and $20 for non-members. There will be dodgeball tournaments, 2-on-2 basketball, badminton, moonwalking, swimming, ping pong and racquetball. There will also be music, dancing and pizza and subs will be served. Holy Family celebration GRAND BLANC — Celebrate the New Year with food, friends and dancing at Holy Family’s New Year’s Eve Celebration Dec. 31 at the Father Bush Parish Center in Grand Blanc. Music, dinner and games of chance are all part of the fun. All proceeds benefit Holy Family School, and the winner of the Holy Family PTO’s annual Panther Draw Raffle $10,000 grand prize will be drawn before midnight. Dance the night away with live music provided by Westwind from Owosso. The evening begins with cocktails at 7 p.m., followed by a full dinner catered by Cameo, dancing and dessert. Ring in 2012 with a Champagne toast and pizza and taco bar at midnight. Tickets are $45, and include all food and drinks. Everyone is welcome.
