Bump, set and spike GRAND BLANC — Starting March 25 an eight-week girls’ volleyball clinic launches at the Genesys Athletic Club, 801 Health Park Blvd., on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for fourth- and fifth-graders, while those in grades six, seven and eight attend from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Cost is $90 for members, non-members pay $105, and sessions will be run by coach Kristin Tonks Mignerey of the Clemson University varsity volleyball program. Starting March 15 Genesys will also be offering an adult co-ed volleyball league Mondays from 7- 10 p.m. Teams must have a minimum of four players 16 or older, individual sign-ups are available and cost is $25 for members, while non-members pay $40. Cost is $70 per session for members, non-members pay $85, and K-3 games run from 5:30-6:30 p.m., while fourth- and fifth-graders play from 6:30-7:30 p.m. On March 19, from 5-10 p.m., the club is also offering a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, with grades three and four making up the first division, the second division will feature fifth- and sixthgraders, while categories three and four are reserved for athletes in grades seven and eight, respectively.
