Top Shelf Resale Clothing, 3025 E. Grand Blanc Rd., in Grand Blanc recently moved to a new location four doors down from their previously store-front.
GRAND BLANC
— Top Shelf Clothing hasn’t closed its doors, the resale shop has just moved — four doors down from their original home.
Owner Brian Morley and his wife, Julie Croft-Morely, have relocated their store to another shop in the same complex they’ve been in since 2006, adding 800 square feet of space to their brand name resale clothing store.
Still located at 3025 E. Grand Blanc Rd., Top Shelf offers brand name clothing such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale and American Eagle.
Morely said they have also acquired the inventory of a local bridal shop and are now offering formal and wedding gowns — many of them new or gently used — ranging in price from $90 to $800. He said they have more than 1,000 gowns in stock ranging in size from 0-28.
“It’s pretty much all year round with young girl dresses,” said Morely. “There’s also dances coming up for area schools, like Sadies, prom, homecoming and some schools have snow-comings.”
Top Shelf also offers tuxedo fittings through Jim’s Formal Wear, he said.
The couple said they started the store four years ago for personal reasons.
“With four teenagers at home, we were going through a lot of clothing,” said Morely. “Jeans and hoodies are big right now. They do good all year around. Kids wear them a few months, get tired of them and bring them in for trade.”
The store buys used clothing and offers store credit. They also carry handbags and accessories.
The store’s winter hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays 12- 4 p.m. After March 1 hours will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays 12-5 p.m.
