MCC Gardening Association art poster sale

FLINT — The Mott Community College Gardening Association hosts its annual Art Poster Sale, with posters available for viewing and purchase 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Dec. 3 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Curtice-Mott Complex on the MCC main campus, 1401 E. Court St. The event is open to the public.

The collection will consist of fine art masterpieces, movie and general photography posters.

Starting at $10, posters are sold unframed and range in price, depending on size and artist representation.

Proceeds from the poster sale help support environmental and beautification efforts at MCC and volunteer efforts in the community.

The MCC Gardening Association, a student organization, has been supportive of community education efforts by sponsoring such groups as Flint River Wild Ones and the Stewardship Network, as well as hosting guest speakers on environmental and gardening topics. NCC presents 16th annual Yuletide Festival

GRAND BLANC — New Century Chorale invites everyone to attend its 16th annual Yuletide Festival, a holiday celebration of music and community, 4 p.m. Dec. 13 at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, G-9020 S. Saginaw St.

“We know our audience enjoys time-honored favorites, and this concert will not disappoint,” said Sarah Stockton, artistic director. “But, we will also perform some pieces that offer some new perspectives on this wonderful season.”

The event includes a carol sing-a-long, which has become a tradition for Yuletide Festival. Everyone is invited to spend some time together after the concert at a reception immediately following.

Vendors, crafters needed for first annual Vendor Extravaganza at MCC

FLINT — The Mott Community College Travel Club, an MCC student organization, invites vendors and crafters to participate in their first annual Vendor Extravaganza, scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 5 in the MCC Event Center. The event is open to the public.
