Charity Poker Room opens at Davison Country Club

      DAVISON — It’s the latest and greatest moneymaker for charities — allowing them to make anywhere from $8,000- $32,000 a year. Now, it’s happening in Davison. The Davison Charity Poker Room opened Nov. 6 at the Davison Country Club, with the Kearsley High School Hockey Boosters benefiting from the weekend’s events.

Talking Taxes
      Q. We replaced our windows and doors at the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. We spent $10,000 in 2008 on windows and $6,000 in 2009 on doors. The company stated that all of the purchases were energy efficient, but specifically qualified the 2009 purchases. When our tax returns are prepared, shouldn’t we receive a tax credit for 2008 as well as 2009?
