Man arrested for possible fraud, using trashed receipts
      BURTON — A 25-year-old Burton man was turned over Lapeer police after Rite Aid management accused the man of returning stolen items on Nov. 4 at 3:45 p.m. Police were called to the store at 4007 S. Saginaw St. after the manager observed the man and a female passenger a white Hummer outside the store, removing receipts from the garbage.

Pills and GPS taken from vehicle
      BURTON — Police responded to a possible vehicle larceny outside of Bubba O’Malley’s, 1076 S. Belsay Rd., on Nov. 4 at 12:33 p.m. The complainant, a 29-yearold Davison man, told police he’d left his Chevy pickup in the parking lot overnight and noticed the pills and GPS, valued at $100, missing.

      BURTON — Loss prevention at Meijer, 2333 S. Center Rd., called police for a retail fraud on Nov. 4 at 8:44 p.m. A 53-year-old Lapeer woman was observed placing $68.17 in merchandise in her purse and attempting to leave without purchasing the items.

      BURTON — An 84-year-old woman called police after noticing copper missing from her home on Nov. 6 at 1:22 p.m. The complainant told police on Sept. 13 someone had broken into the home and stolen the copper pipes from the home’s basement.

      BURTON — Police issued a larceny citation to a 27-year-old Grand Blanc man suspected of taking $48 in valuables from Rite Aid on Nov. 8 at 8:30 a.m.

      BURTON — A Flint man was arrested for operating while intoxicated on the way to a local establishment on Nov. 2 at 1:57 a.m. An officer spotted the vehicle while he was heading south on Belsay Road.
