Car stolen, recovered
      BURTON — A 60-year-old Burton resident has her vehicle back after it was missing for five days. The woman, who lives in the 3000 block of Atherton Road, called police on Oct. 14 at 10:40 a.m. after noticing her blue Pontiac mini-van was missing from the driveway at the residence. Two Flint women attempt to steal $392 in merchandise
      BURTON — Loss prevention reported a retail fraud incident at Meijer, 2333 S. Center Rd., on Oct. 14 at 4:56 p.m. A 30-year-old woman and 36-year-old woman, both of Flint, were spotted by a store employee placing items in a shopping cart, including make-up, clothing and shoes. The items were covered with a coat.

Teen caught stealing condoms
      BURTON — Police were called to Wal-Mart, 5323 E. Court St., for a possible retail fraud on Oct. 12 at 9:08 p.m. Store personnel told police they observed a 17- year-old Flint man enter the store, select $29.59 worth of condoms, conceal them and attempt to leave with out paying.

Drinking while driving
      BURTON — A 49-year-old Burton man was cited for open intoxication, improper plate and a suspended license after being pulled over by police on Oct. 15 at 5:22 p.m. The suspect was headed eastbound on E. Bristol Rd., near S. Belsay Rd with an officer following behind. A check showed the plate on the Ford Thunderbird was not valid.

Trading card culprit
      BURTON — Police issued an 18-year-old Flint man an appearance citation for retail fraud at Meijer, 2333 S. Center Rd., on Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. The suspect was spotted by the store’s detective concealing trading cards and attempting to leave the store without paying for the items, valued at $51.87.
